Volunteer plants are amazing! It’s always exciting to find out a plant has chosen my garden to be its home.
I’ve had tomatoes, squash, borage, marjoram, and many others show up where I least expected them (and definitely didn’t plant them).
This year, despite my never ever having planted a squash near the patio, one has sprung up through the decorative foliage.
I doubt it will last long enough for me to find out what kind of squash it is. The summer is waning…
