Local feast

It’s hard to top the experience of hyper-local meat.

While it’s sad to consider that I once looked after and even petted the cow that made this steak, it’s pretty amazing that I know exactly the love and care she got under the watchful eye of myself, J, and our neighbors.

We ate this incredible steak grilled up with roasted potatoes and carrots and a cucumber tomato salad on the side. I grew most of the veggies myself.

Having lived for a long time where everything was store-bought, I thoroughly enjoy the farm-to-table lifestyle and find it to be very rewarding!
