Herb day!

Most of my herb plants are thriving right now, and haven’t started to flower yet, so I’m cutting them way back and oven-drying the trimmings for use in food and teas.

So far I’ve done oregano, peppermint, and lemon balm.

Bundles of herbs drying on a shelf.

Smelling these delicious bundles of herbs drying in the house has me thinking I might make some potpourri satchels if I harvest and dry enough this year! I wonder what delicious smelling combos I could make from what I have growing in the garden.

At the very least, we will have herbs for tea and cooking to last us quite a while.
