One cool feature on our property is a retaining wall made of these concrete bricks that keeps where our doggo does his business away from plants and trees. J and I have been decorating it whenever we find plants that can thrive in the tiny amount of soil that’s been washed between these bricks over the years.
This is a type of ivy, and we’re also growing local succulent-like plants. While so many people are opposed to ivy, we love giving plants an opportunity to thrive where they aren’t a hinderance to the operation of our little farm — this ivy is more than content to peek through the cracks on this wall and we are more than content to let it!
