Beans, beans, magical fruit

It’s that time… I can finally plant the first bush beans for this season! Bush beans are easy to grow and I’m growing them in raised beds this year. I planted six varieties of bush beans, a variety different colors and flavors.

Planting beans has me thinking about the tasty dishes I can make once I start harvesting them (my favorite part of the gardening process by far). I’m already craving fermented green beans and those chili-garlic beans that come with really good Chinese takeout!

In three weeks or so, I’ll put down the next batch so I can have a constant steady harvest of beans for the whole summer and into fall.
