J made another batch of his famous bacon (our friend from Korea calls him The Bacon King, hah!) and I whipped up a batch of buttermilk waffles to go with some baked slices of bacon.
In a past life, this would have seemed like a ton of calories for me in one sitting, but now I expend so many working on the farm that I understand why this is a “farm breakfast”! It’s definitely important to get enough fuel when working long hours on the farm, and all the more satisfying when it comes from delicious, home-cooked meals.
