Zuke soup

The zukes came on time on and they’ve never left, so I’ve had them all season.

I decided to make some zucchini meatball soup on a surprise chilly summer day, and then I had it for the next few days which turned out to be gray, too, with the same storm front.

A large, red Dutch oven pot filled with simmering zucchini meatball soup.

I adore following the weather with my food and my farming–it’s a significant change from my city and suburban life, but it keeps me much more grounded.

With all of the shredded zucchini I’m going to be able to freeze from the summer harvest, I plan on indulging in many more delicious soups throughout the fall and winter!
