One of the first garden projects I did when we moved to the farm was build up a spiral garden. (I was spending too much time on Pinterest, however did you know?!)
In just three seasons’ time, it has filled in with herbal goodness! I have enough sage, marjoram, thyme, and chives to incorporate fresh in my spring and summer dishes and then to dry for the cold seasons.
It is fun to have a garden bed that is designated for my herbs—when J and I are cooking, we can just walk outside and pick what we need to flavor our dishes. It’s a luxury I hope I never cook without.
I plan on experimenting with natural salves and tinctures this year and taking advantage of all of the natural benefits of the herbs that I’m growing. The bounty of nature is astounding.
