I continue to be amazed by the medicinal powers of what is growing freely in my yard! Oxeye daisies seem to have a profound effect on the respiratory system, being used in the treatment of asthma and coughs, among other things. These flowers have also been proven to be helpful when used on chapped skin.
Their delicate flowers are all over our property, and I can’t help but marvel how there is so much potential value in flowers and plants that most people discount as weeds.
I might need to gather some of these and make a tincture or a lotion with them! At the very least, I’ll store a bit for tea for when the weather cools down again.
