Sourdough French bread

I’ve found my favorite French bread recipe! It’s so good that it’s even worth the extra work involved with baking it for the first 15 minutes in an oven-safe container (I used my Dutch oven upside-down).

I really enjoy sourdough bread in general, so having my own starter means that just about weekly I’m making something sourdough. Why waste the discard? Especially when you can make something this tasty…

It’s an easy recipe and the bread is next level—crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, perfect for sandwiches, dipping in soup, French toast, or sliced stale for homemade croutons.

If you try this amazing recipe for yourself, let me know how you use the loaf!
