Endless planter boxes

On my recent week off, J and I picked back up on building planter boxes for our garden. We started with cutting reclaimed lumber on a day when we needed to stay dry in the shop. I was very helpfully shuttling the boards in the wheelbarrow…

…and rolling it to the house to sort it by length.

I know very little about real woodworking, but this project has made me far handier with the power tools than I ever was, and it’s satisfying to then collect materials from around the property to fill the boxes with soon-to-be happy soil.

Have you built your own planter boxes? Would you like to? Would a step by step post of our haphazard boxes help you feel better about trying to make one of your own?! Let me know in the comments.
